The Juneteenth Documentary Film Festival gathers neighbors, families, and changemakers for an afternoon and evening of documentary film, honest conversation, and community. Through the lens of collective and intersectional justice, we trace the road from emancipation to the work that remains.
Between screenings, you’ll find interactive panels, spoken word, and good food — a celebration rooted in faith, history, and the belief that freedom is built together.

Spoken Word Poetry
Live performances that turn history into voice and verse.
Bean Pies & Food Court
Local vendors and our beloved bean pies between sessions.
Salat Breaks
Dedicated prayer breaks woven into the day’s schedule.
Childcare On-Site
Supervised childcare for ages 2–6, so the whole family can attend.
Featured Films
Documentaries and shorts — from journeying through the American struggle for civil rights from a Muslim perspective, to the impact of key Muslim figures in the fight for freedom and justice. Each block is paired with audience breakouts and panel discussions.
